For Others Through Christ

We Sew Love, a ministry of Grace Klein Community, enjoyed a special weekend on May 18 and May 19, 2019, with a Meet and Greet at Huffman Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon and a Preview Day at Liberty Church on Sunday afternoon. Volunteers of We Sew Love upcycle donated clothing into beautiful, useful items for babies and children as well as a variety of items needed to assist missionaries as they GO INTO THE WORLD.

Our ministry partner Agrippa Phiri of Kwathu Children’s Home, during his first visit in the United States, was honored to speak at both gatherings. He shared how the We Sew Love upcycled shorts, dresses and women’s menstruation kits have positively impacted the ministry efforts of Kwathu Children’s Home in Zambia. Not only do the children of the home benefit from the clothing items, but they also are able to teach girl’s hygiene classes and serve vulnerable mamas and children in the community.

We Sew Love uses donated clothing from the Give and Take Room that may have a small hole or stain, and repurpose the items into colorful new creations. A true work of art, volunteers are able to serve in various capacities from tracing to seam ripping, cutting to sewing, organizing and washing, to praying and talking. Everyone is welcome to come join in!

The Liberty Church Preview Day introduced our new Hoover location that will begin in full swing in June 2019.

Liberty Church We Sew Love Hours:
Tuesdays 9-12 noon
Wednesdays 5-8pm
Thursdays 9-12 noon

As you come into Liberty Church, please enter by the church office and the sewing area is downstairs by the elevators.

We are excited for the growth and have shared items with missionaries in places such as Tanzania, Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica and Zambia. If you know a missionary that has specific clothing or menstruation kit needs in any country, please contact to place an order.

Please be praying for God to continue to send workers, meet needs around the world and also continue to minister to the hearts of all our volunteers. We praise God for His work through We Sew Love. May He receive all the praise and glory!
