Networking for a Cause – October 2018
On Tuesday October 2, 2018 Grace Klein Community held our quarterly Networking for a Cause event at the Little Donkey on 280. We had a great turnout of local businesses, ministries and non-profit organizations. Networking for a Cause provides a great environment to get to know other professionals seeking to grow their businesses to make a difference in Birmingham.
DJ Giorgio provided great music as folks mingled and played cornhole. Katie Troncale rallied special guest MC Tony Kurre, from Klapow and Kurre, and the Bright House Foundation, as well as Homer Brown from BumperNets in the Riverchase Galleria to come share their giftings with Grace Klein Community. Gold medalist Homer Brown and Chris Tickell brought the table tennis robot and challenged networkers to beat the robot. The Little Donkey food truck was serving up delicious tacos and quesadillas. Special thanks to Mark Grill and Special Occasions/Birmingham Tents for donating a tent for the event. Another treat came from Comedienne Joy who brought the “Dining out with Comedienne Joy” bus onsite to allow attendees a sample of what a night dining out feels like on the bus.
Grace Klein Community would like to thank State Farm agent, Ted Townley in Homewood for being our Title sponsor for the event. We would also like to thank all other sponsors and local businesses who donated door prizes and silent auction items. We really appreciate all the people who came out to support us. If you would like to become a sponsor, at our next Networking for a Cause event in March 2019, please contact Rachael@gracekleincommunity.org.
