When the “Moon” is Not Full… the Stars Shine Ever So Bright

From the Moon family:

“Before surgery we were advised that some functions, controlled by the part of the brain where the mass was removed, could be impacted. Evan has been affected in his speech and his left arm and leg. We need to specifically pray for his ability to speak what he’s thinking and experience consistent movement to his entire left side. He is in an intense physical therapy. However, we are seeing answers to our earnest prayers. Many have asked if we have heard from pathology. We have not and do not expect a planning meeting with doctors for another one to two weeks.

IMG_8054Please keep praying as the road is long and not easy. God is faithful, even when we cannot anticipate what may happen next. Please continue to allow Evan to give his full energy towards recovery by allowing us extended time without visitors. We are thankful for each of you, your prayers, the food, the encouragement you have been emailing to [email protected], and the financial support that you have given through Grace Klein Community. We are thankful to have you with us on this journey. Please keep praying for Evan!”

“As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:9

“Evan,
During my days of struggle I have found these verses to be helpful and soothing. I pray they will minister to you and your family.”

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.” – Psalm 27:1-8

“I don’t have any pictures to share because our friendship was before the days of camera phones…No worries though, there’s quite a few physical pictures for my kids to look through and marvel at in disbelief that the guy who took me to my first homecoming dance, with short hair and a cleanly shaven face, is the same guy who took me to my senior prom wearing a bright orange shirt and an afro! You were such a good friend to me for so many years and you and your family are some of the best people I know! Get better soon and let’s make sure that our families make it a point to keep in touch our whole lives, alright? I’m talking like my grandkids need to be friends with your grandkids.” – Autumn Dell
