Pastor Chandra has metastatic cancer in the bones of his arms and legs and has struggled to retain strength in them. On October 1, 2015, both of his legs broke during physical therapy. He had a surgery to implant metal pins to stabilize the diseased bone, and has since been unable to stand.

He continues his work pastoring the church and traveled with the church to Daburuvaripalli for the Christmas program. He travels in a wheelchair, being carried up and down stairs.

IndiaRecently, Krupa shared this photo. We are so thankful that God, in His mercy, continues to strengthen our friend. This is such a welcome sight, and doctors have cleared him to begin taking a few steps each day as he regains his strength. Pray for his continued recovery!

Many of you may have been aware that we were praying about a team going to serve with our India partners in January, 2016. We have raised some funds and established some church commitments, but we still require additional funding and a stronger church partnership base for a trip to India. We continue our commitment to Madhuri’s Mission and need your help to care for and educate HIV & AIDS infected children. We hope to raise sufficient funds to travel mid year to encourage leadership and to develop a long term strategy to care for these vulnerable children with the leadership in the field.

“But that does not mean we want to dominate you by telling you how to put your faith into practice. We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy, for it is by your own faith that you stand firm.” – 2 Corinthians 1:24
