On September 16, 2018, Grace Klein Community had the honor of being a part of LIVE SENT Sunday at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, a glorious celebration of all that God is doing in and through folks living on mission.

Shades Mountain Baptist Church shared a snap shot view of what the church has done over the past twelve months, beginning with cross border outreach around the world, our continent, and then our city.

“Fun Facts:”

• 26 Shades Mountain family units are currently serving in full time missions around the world.
• Since 2002, 66 families have felt called to serve in another cultural context.
• Over the past year, 15 international mission projects were initiated with over 200 members participating in the short term outreaches.
• 21 projects were established locally and across North America with over 1,200 volunteers in participation.

Grace Klein Community had the opportunity of forming connections with other ministries and organizations partnering with Shades Mountain Baptist Church at LIVE SENT Sunday. Our hearts were encouraged to see so many individuals and families interested in serving our local communities in various ways. We all have different interests, skills and abilities, and we truly are “Better Together.”

The Mission Statement of Shades Mountain Baptist Church is: “Sending transformed people to influence their world for Christ.” We give God all the glory for the treasured partnership with Shades Mountain Baptist Church and our aligned pursuit to “live sent” to impact those in our sphere of influence.
