Mission Serve – Field of Hope

Caleb Veazey, the associate director of Mission Serve, a non-profit mission organization based in Atlanta, contacted Grace Klein Community looking to partner through serving opportunities.

A team from Mission Serve will be traveling to Birmingham, from July 8th – 15th, to serve with Westwood Baptist Church, and Mission Serve reached out to Grace Klein Community asking how we could partner to love on Birmingham together during their time here. Forty of their team members will be serving with one of our partner ministries, Metro CME, organizing the clothing closet that serves their surrounding community, visiting homes of the elderly, and getting their hands dirty assisting with yard work. The team will also spend a day going door-to-door praying for people in the community and at local businesses, all the while, inviting them to join the Friday evening event at the “Field of Hope.”

What is the Friday evening event all about??? The Mission Serve praise band will be worshiping on the “Field of Hope,” close to Metro CME, loving on the community through music and outreach ministry. Sweet Mrs. Sheila Parks would love to bless the team with dinner that evening as an appreciation for all their hard work… giving Grace Klein Community another opportunity to share from the abundance of food the Lord continues to provide.

We are so excited to partner with Mission Serve, love on Birmingham together and share a meal to truly celebrate the hearts and lives the Lord has given us to love on His people through our various giftings, abilities and talents.

If you would like to volunteer your time assisting with food preparation and outreach ministry at the Friday evening event, please email [email protected] for more details. If you have extra time on your hands to assist by overseeing various projects on July 10th – 14th, 9am – 4pm, please email Natalie as well. Mrs. Sheila, the event coordinator, is wheelchair bound, so any help would be appreciated! Also, be sure to get in touch with us if your business, school, or non-profit organization would like to partner with Grace Klein Community and love on Birmingham together.
