Update on the Burke Family Adoption

“We have been matched up with a little girl! We accepted the referral of a 2.5 year old little girl! She lives in the Mumbai area. We think she was born with some form of spina bifida. We are waiting on some more information, such as an updated medical file, recent photographs, and a video. Her file has not been updated in two years, so we aren’t really sure what we are looking at in terms of her needs. We pray that we can provide for and take care of this precious girl, and we pray that she can be ours.

Thank you GKC family for praying along with us and supporting us since we announced that we were pursuing international adoption to add to our family in November. You’ve prayed us through the home study and CARA approval. Please keep on praying for our daughter.

Please also continue to pray with us for the funding. We have been fundraising, but it has not been as effective as we needed. We worked hard on a huge yard sale, but it made less than $400. We planned a community event benefit concert, it too, fell flat as a revenue generator.

I’m a school bus driver, adjunct community college professor, homeschool mom, private tutor, co-op director and instructor, and part-time graphic design in the wedding album industry. I tried to get a 7th part time job teaching English as a second language online, but I did not get it. 🙁 Brandon already works full time as a business analyst for Infinity, but he’s also just started a restaurant job cooking in the kitchen at Applebees three nights a week. We are working as hard as we possibly can!

We have devoted all of our tax return to adoption, our kids have gone without any Christmas, we’ve skipped many activities, cancelled cable, cut out everything we possibly can. We are committed and determined. Whatever it takes.

We have a big fee due in the next 30 days, and we aren’t even halfway there on the funds. It’s exhausting to constantly be trying to earn more and fundraise, but we will not stop trying.” – Eleanna Burke

The Burke Family are praying for the miracle of $4,000 before the end of June. Will you pray alongside them? Perhaps the Lord is prompting you to give $5, $50, $500 or even the full $4,000. Or maybe He’s calling you to host a fundraiser on their behalf? We encourage you to ask the Lord how you can support the Burke Family during their adoption journey.

If you feel the Lord leading you to contribute financially towards the Burke Family Adoption, check donations can be mailed to: Grace Klein Community, 1678 Montgomery Hwy #104, Birmingham, AL 35216. To be directed to our online giving page, CLICK HERE. Memo: Burke Family Adoption

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” – Luke 6:38
