Grace Klein Community has been actively involved in the Mercedes Marathon discards pickup for over 5 years. We are the designated organization to collect the clothing and gloves that are shed by the runners involved in the Marathon. February 22nd, 2015, a group of volunteers came together in the cold and rain to serve as a body in the event. A total of 14 bags of clothing were collected by the volunteers.
Not only are we incredibly grateful to all those who assisted with the discard pickup, but we’re very proud of Gabe Thomas, a dedicated staff member of Grace Klein Community, who successfully completed the Mercedes Half Marathon.
