On December 5, 2017, members from all areas of Grace Klein Construction and Grace Klein Community gathered at Swamp Monster BBQ for a Christmas party that would bless all who came, as well as show love to many of our monthly food delivery recipients. Friends arrived sharing from their plenty, bringing toys, warm clothes, and non-perishable food items to bless local families through the Gifts for the Forgotten initiative.
Friends old and new laughed together, shared stories from their year, played board games, and encouraged one another. As people mingled and ate, some shopped at the BeMoreRandom table for Christmas gifts for their friends and loved ones. The proceeds from jewelry, crafts, journals, and other gifts they bought will bless ministries both locally and globally, allowing the gift they buy to not only bless the giver and the receiver, but also missionaries around the world that God is using to accomplish the Great Commission.
We also received a surprise guest, Evan and the Moon family (from the #SupportforShaggy campaign) came all the way from Atlanta to join us for the party. We were so excited to see Evan out and about, delighting in good conversation with us, joking around, and even walking with only the assistance of a cane.
Overall, the Grace Klein Community Christmas Party was a success in every area, uniting brothers and sisters in Christ in fellowship, encouraging us to aid those in need locally, and abroad, and showing Christ’s love in some way to each person that it touched. We want to thank Swamp Monster BBQ so much for their support and the friendly service they provided throughout the night! They contributed a wonderful atmosphere along with delicious food that helped make this night special!
