We are delighted to share the exciting news that the Director of the Kwathu Children’s Home, in Livingstone, Zambia, will be coming for his very first visit to the United States of America on May 12, 2019. Agrippa Phiri began the children’s home in 2005 and it has grown to provide a safe home environment to 17 children, and a Christian education and two free meals a day to over 225 children. Kwathu also hosts a weekend arts program and weekly feeding program to care for the hearts and lives of the surrounding community.
If you have a business, social club, church group or want an excuse to invite over your neighbors, please help us book his calendar to share about the Kwathu Children’s Home. He will be in country May 12 – June 10, 2019. Email [email protected] to book a slot.
We are also hoping to surprise him with a massive shoe drive. If you can help us collect any size or type shoes at your business, school, church, sports team, bunco group or book study, we would be so delighted. Every pair helps and we would love to collect 10,000+ pairs of shoes to bless the children’s home. The more shoes we can find, the more funds we can raise, and the more months we can help cover the operating costs of the school that provides free education at the Kwathu Children’s Home campus. The school operates for an entire month on $1,200 US dollars.
