“We are coming to the end of the school year here in Dakar, Senegal. I’m already anticipating a new and better year come August. I look forward to more growth and change and development, yet, am still grateful for each teachable moment that brought me this far.
Jumping into full time mission work comes with a lot of expectations and adjustments. Even when you think you’ve “done it before”… you’ll still be refined. You’ll still be sharpened by the iron of others around you. Welcome to communal living… here are a few of my moments…
When you finally get school t-shirts but have to wait until Casual Friday to wear them…
When your old roomy and your soon to be roomy both enJOY crazy adventures…
When our seniors say their good-byes at youth group through teaching, worship and praying for the underclassmen…
When Birthday Dinner for Roomy is basically our weekly family dinner routine…
When youth group retreat is A-mazing because of the crazy wise team you’re working with…
When your classroom is such a safe place students do this…
When Wednesday nights become your favorite because it fills you with LIFE…
When you find your favorite thing to do is four-wheel on the dunes…
When you introduce 7th graders to your heart for the Deaf community…”
