Justin and I (Brooke) knew we wanted to adopt a little baby from Asia long before we were married. It’s a passion God put in our hearts long ago. In fact, I’m pretty sure our first date (high school sweethearts) included a talk about adoption! We said our “I do’s” and started our Happily Ever After.
Soon after, God blessed us with our beautiful little blond haired, blue-eyed Perry and we were instantly IN LOVE. We absolutely enjoyed parenting Perry and could not wait until the day we could begin our adoption process to add more children to our family.
Right after Perry turned two we started our journey to a little girl from South Korea. The first two years of our process were beyond hard and came with a lot of disappointments. However, God’s plans were so much bigger than anything we could have asked for or imagined.
Almost exactly two years into our process, in May 2013, God showed us our little BOY on our agency’s waiting child photo listing! Seeing those big brown eyes and his dark silky hair was pure heaven! I have absolutely no way to describe seeing him other than we immediately KNEW he was meant to be our baby!!
Now, officially matched with our son, Jack Cruz JiHwan, we are actively and excitedly working very hard to bring him home!! We are thinking we will be allowed to travel to bring him home sometime around September/October of 2014, with our first trip to South Korea for court being in July/August 2014. We absolutely cannot wait to have our family of four under one roof!!
Thank you very very much!!
