Birthdays- Children always look forward to their birthdays and it was not any different from our smiley
Anna. Anna celebrated her 12th birthday on December 16th, 2022. Everyone was looking forward to enjoying the birthday cake and enjoy the treats. Anna’s birthday was the last one to be celebrated in 2022.

SCHOOLS – The non-examination classes closed school on December 22nd, 2022. Rhodia began her 9th grade examinations on November 21st and ended on December 8th, 2022.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS –– Christmas celebrations are always fun and filled with love. The
children had their Christmas party on 24th December and like always, they were in charge of the whole
program with poems, dances and songs to celebrate the birth of Christ.

DECEMBER 2022 KWATHU FREE HAVEN SCHOOL REPORT- In the month of December, the school had few activities because majority of students were on break. The school closed in December 2022, and it was scheduled to open in January 2022. Regardless of the closure of the school, there were activities that happened after the closure.

On the 9th of December, the school had a Christmas party. This made the children from the school to feel
loved; the celebration brought joy and happiness in their hearts. On this day, the kids were given
presents and had a delicious meal which they enjoyed. Besides that, they also had different performances such as poems, cultural dances and contemporary dances.

Apart from having Christmas party in December, it is the same month were seventh graders who were in
examination class began their final exams. It was interesting for them, and they always gave positive outcomes after the exams. As the school, we hope for the best even as the results are released.

CLINIC PROJECT- In December, we installed two aircons in the two clinic rooms as they are requirements from the Ministry of Health.

KWATHU FARMS- The farm had good produce in December. We harvested some maize/corn, watermelons and tomatoes.

DONATIONS- The month of December we received some donations from Seventh day Adventist Church women. They donated sugar, charcoal, washing soap, beans, sanitary pads and cooling oil.

OUR NEEDS LIST:

  • Pencils, crayons, sharpeners, calculators, pens e.tc. Clothes for ages 6 to 20
  • Christmas gifts for all our children from 2- to 18-year-olds.
