Giving to missionaries in Africa sounds exciting. It’s a beautiful thought—sending something meaningful to a faraway place where people are in need. It feels good to give, to declutter, and to know that your extras are going toward a good cause.
And yes, that’s all true. But let me show you what happens after you make that drop-off.
Take a look at the map below. What you see is just a glimpse of the long journey your donation takes. It’s not as simple as placing items in a bin and expecting them to magically appear in the hands of missionaries or communities in Africa. The reality is—there’s a complex, prayer-covered, people-powered process that follows.
Where You Come In
We LOVE our donors. Every item reminds us of someone who believes in what God is doing here.
But we need more than donations—we need partners.
- Green circles in the map below: That’s where you can help, especially if you’re in Birmingham, Alabama. Grace Klein Community runs because of volunteers. They need hands to collect, sort, clean, and pack. If you’ve got time, they’ve got room for you.
- Blue circles: That’s your call to PRAY. Pray for smooth logistics, clear communication, wise decisions, and flexibility for the unexpected. Not so things work out “perfectly,” but so God shows up in every step—and that His love is seen through it all.
- Red circles: These are the most critical. These steps need prayer, financial support, and people on the ground to literally carry the load. We’ve learned this past year: we cannot do this alone. We need God’s provision—and we need you.
God has provided for us faithfully—again and again. And for that, we are deeply grateful.
We hope this gives you a clearer picture of what your generosity makes possible. Thank you for being part of the journey—and for helping bring hope across continents, one item at a time.
