Pelham Build Day: Building Beds, Building Community

  • by

A milestone moment at FeedBHM Pelham, made possible by partners and volunteers who showed up with strength and heart.

Pelham Build Day marked an important milestone for FeedBHM Pelham. Volunteers gathered to prepare space for overnight serve teams who will begin serving on site soon. Tools stayed busy, hands got dusty, and every task moved FeedBHM Pelham closer to welcoming teams who will serve, stay, and share life together.

We are deeply grateful to Sleep in Heavenly Peace Birmingham South Chapter for building and installing 10 bunk beds at FeedBHM Pelham. Their dedication and steady work ensure no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.

Powered by Partnership

Thank you to Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook, Autograph Collection for donating beds, and to Impact Sober Living for hauling heavy pieces up the steps at FeedBHM Pelham.

Maggie, Kendall, and many others jumped in wherever help was needed. Build Day reflected what happens when partners bring time, skills, and heart to a shared mission.

Overnight serve teams are coming soon. Beds create space to rest well, serve longer, and support expanded food rescue and distribution across Shelby County.

What Comes Next

FeedBHM Pelham is stepping into a new season. Overnight teams will serve on site, support food rescue efforts, and help expand distribution across the region.

Continued support helps replenish supplies, equip teams, and keep FeedBHM Pelham ready for steady service.
