Adrian is the computer teacher at King’s College in the small jungle village of Lucky Strike in Belize. King’s is a small Christian high school serving rural villages. Many of the students travel a great distance to go to school and must work very hard to graduate. As a graduate of King’s himself, Adrian is devoted to the school and the students and is passionate about making sure they know the love of Christ. He sacrifices his time and the lure of a high-paying job to serve these students and his fellow teachers.
Adrian is married with two sweet little girls and during much of the school year, his family lives on campus with him, away from their home in Orange Walk, which is about a two-hour drive away.
Adrian has worked hard to advance the IT program at King’s and has recently started an A+ certification course through the school. There are currently fewer than twenty A+ certified technicians in the entire country of Belize, so this course will be a great benefit for the community and the country by creating job opportunities and much needed skills. GKC volunteer Jon Womack serves about once a year in Belize with Adrian, helping with various IT improvement projects at the school and in surrounding communities.
When teams visit Belize from the US, Adrian and his family are gracious hosts who goes out of their way to teach us about the country of Belize and its wonderful people. Their strong faith and steadfast love for the people consistently glorify God.
