With last minute attendees, the Agape Feast met in 3 host homes, with a guest list of over 40 people. Each feast was different, and we all celebrated the goodness of Jesus.
“I loved our feast because we were able to become closer as friends. We shared our stories, laughed a whole lot, and praised the Lord in worship. We learned more about each other and spoke about deep subjects that don’t occur in small talk! I was glad to enjoy and contribute to the amazing food as well.” Jessy Jones
What is an Agape Feast you may ask? A place to celebrate and share how Christ has loved you!
“…breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:46-47
The deepest fellowship of believers is expressed in the Greek with the beautiful word koinonia. We plan the Agape Feasts to emulate the examples of the early church where they came together for fellowship, prayer, to share food with glad and generous hearts, to celebrate their unity in Christ, and to anticipate His return. The Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
We believe God will use our love for Him and our love for one another to draw more to Jesus. Love is powerful and we are not capable of loving apart from Christ.
The next Agape Feast will be held on November 7, 2015. Save the date!
