A handful of Grace Klein Community ladies gathered on December 14, 2015, to focus on Jesus and relationships. Christmas can get us distracted on the tasks of cooking, cleaning, shopping and wrapping. So, we took a pause.
A pause to enjoy pancakes and fruit, sweets, chips and dip, coffee and hot tea. A pause to worship together. A pause to speak intentionally with one another about topics of silly, fun and serious. A pause to pray together. A pause to share scripture. A pause to remember the King who became flesh and dwelt among us.
We were a room of quiet people. We had a jar of questions which helped us engage one another. We shared some laughter and tears. We spoke freely. We ate a lot. We sang some pretty harmony. We rested. The pause was good.
In 2016, we will have more intentional ladies brunches and ladies nights out. A time to come as we are, to be real with one another, to share food and to share our hearts. We hope you will join us for the next one and share what God is doing in you.
“But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” – Psalm 73:28
