Did you know Evan’s dad, Terry Moon, owns a leather shop called The Creative Craftsman. He’s the one who makes the leather journals, witness tags and bracelets that we sell in our BeMoreRandom shop at festivals, Family Fun Nights and community events.
He’s designed some awesome heart paperweights that we will be selling to raise funds towards Evan’s emergency assistance needs. Each heart will cost $30 and 100% of those sells will go towards Evan Moon and his unexpected expenses as he battles a brain cancer diagnosis.
Right now we are offering these three heart options that are all 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and 100% leather. If you would like a heart with the word “Blessed” or “Thank You,” please let us know as those options are also available. As an extra bonus you can also use them as a stress ball. We hope that you will purchase one for your desk to remind yourself to pray for Evan throughout the day.
A few friendly reminders:
- When you purchase a product, your payment is not tax-deductible.
- If you have any questions about ordering heart paperweights, please email [email protected]
- Purchasing heart paperweights through Grace Klein Community guarantees that 100% of your purchase will go directly to the “Evan Moon Assistance Program.”
From the Moon family:
“Evan finishes radiation treatments this week! He is really looking forward to sleeping through the night without waking up three times to prepare for treatment. He will miss the people that he has come to know in the hallway and the oncology radiation department. He has made some good prayer warrior friends and we have been praying for other patients.
We have been very blessed during this six weeks with many obstacles being removed from our path and appointments being arranged . We made it through Atlanta traffic for six weeks and we were on time every day!
He has had an intense week of physical therapy as they work on his leg and start to build his core muscles.
He has had wonderful visits from family and old friends bringing generous gifts of sentimental value and shared memories of his awesome and often silly self. He has added Short Circuit 2 to his movie collection and is the proud owner of a spider man watch. The food and meals have really helped the family on days it is impossible to cook . Everyone’s support in visits and phone calls and finances is so appreciated and keeps gas in the van!
Evan wants to say… “God is working in the everyday. For those wanting to know how God works in the everyday. Yesterday was down to seconds in His design.” Here’s what happened on Tuesday morning (and again on Wednesday morning) of this week:
The radiology machine was not working when we arrived. We were worried about the treatment being within the necessary time frame. We went to get lab work done and they refused to let us do it early. We were upset that we were not allowed to get the blood work done. But when we returned to radiology within a few minutes the technician came to get a patient for treatment. The machines were up but many people had gone home or to eat. When she saw Evan she immediately took him back and his treatment was on time! If we had been allowed to stay for blood work we would have missed the treatment opportunity!
Thank you to everyone for prayers and support. In a few weeks Evan will begin intense chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for healing and recovery.”
Please consider giving towards the Moon family assistance through Grace Klein Community. Evan and his family continue to have expenses and we, as the body of Christ, can help carry them in a tangible financial way.

Memo: Evan Moon Assistance Program
Denise Moon, Evan’s mom, works in the Emory University Hospital Microbiology Lab, and her co-workers surprised the Moon Family by sharing some of their vacation time to Denise, as well as collecting money which they used to provide gift cards to the Moons. They also sent these pictures as a love gift to the Moon family to show their support.
