Early Morning Amazing

DavidOn October 31, 2015, Grace Klein Community hosted three yard sales to raise funds for various local and global outreaches of Grace Klein Community. DJ and Bethany Gamble were volunteering at one of the yard sales and invited their friend, David Fallin, to come along at 6am. Anyone that comes willingly, to serve at 6am, is amazing. On that morning, David joined the “early morning amazing” list! Ok, you are right, the list doesn’t exist, but it should. Wink.

Volunteers had a wonderful time that day serving together. Teenagers from The Church at Brookhills joined us in serving and we sold a lot of items that were donated from other Grace Klein Community volunteers. Friends joked, laughed, shared stories, and invited David to join in for future community gatherings.

David began to come to the Monday Night Prayer and Worship Gathering and offered to help Grace Klein Community build relationships with local businesses for printing and graphic needs. He immediately believed in the heart of Grace Klein Community and wanted to be an active contributor. He began to share his skills as a graphic designer and offer his help for the many graphic needs of Grace Klein Community.

Over the last year, David has provided countless designs for Grace Klein Community to use in promoting events and gatherings. He does excellent edits on his work and often the documents require no copy writing corrections. All his products are innovative, appealing and inviting. Grace Klein Community relies heavily on his design generosity and much of our promotional success is from David Fallin Design. He demonstrates how God uses a volunteer’s skill set to contribute specifically from our areas of expertise.

David is an asset to Grace Klein Community at fall festivals, networking events and family fun nights. He engages shoppers and helps promote serving while also selling BeMoreRandom items to help in community fundraising. When we have community yard sales, he is still willing to come help at 6am and he has, multiple times. He does not allow his introversion to stop him from building friendships with new people. He also treats children as valuable, speaks to them and welcomes their contribution.
David’s investment in Grace Klein Community makes all of us better. His skills help correctly portray our image on social media, introduce us to businesses and schools and provide consistency in our communications. He gives us advice on how to keep simplicity the focus. When we have to explain a large volume of data, he has a creative solution. He takes action quickly, making his turnaround times impressive.

Consider your own life? What gifts and abilities has God given you and are you sharing those skills with others? God created your bubbly optimism for His glory. God gave you that attention to detail, that “green thumb” and the way you fully listen. God is in the way you can sweep a floor, organize a pantry, fold clothing and bake cookies. Maybe you are not sure what you do well, ask your friends and they will tell you. Then, get involved and thrive, just like David Fallin, doing what you do best!
