BIRTHDAYS – Four children celebrated their birthdays this month. Charity turned 18 on the 1st, Jane turned 10 on the 12th, Austin turned 19 on the 13th, and Michael turned 10 on the 19th. It is always a blessing to see the children get older each year.
EASTER- Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and at Kwathu, we always ensure to have a meal together to celebrate this day. A discussion about the meaning of Easter was shared, followed by a meal prepared by both staff and the children.
KWATHU SCHOOL – On the 19th of April, Kwathu School held a successful Parent Teacher Association meeting (P.T.A). This meeting is important because it keeps parents informed about how the school works, what’s coming up, and any issues teachers have encountered. This helps the school to improve and ensures that parents’ voices are heard – a win-win situation. But the main reason for PTA meetings is to improve the learning environment for students and to ensure that they learn to the highest standard possible.
MR AGRIPPA PHIRI’S BIRTHDAY (DIRECTOR) – The 12th of April is always a special day for Kwathu because this is the day we celebrate Mr. Agrippa Phiri’s (Director) birthday together with the children. All the staff and children expressed their well wishes and presented gifts to him.
CHILDREN’S OUTING PLAY – It was a day away from home, a moment of refreshment and fun for the children, the “Children’s Outing.” Playing outside of their homes comes with numerous physical benefits and provides an opportunity for children to develop socially. Playing together with their peers allows the children to learn important social skills such as empathy, cooperation, and friendship, which can help them succeed in life.
KWATHU SCHOOL EDUCATION TRIP – Educational trips are a valuable part of the curriculum for pupils. Educational tours are an essential part of pupils’ academics and an effective way to motivate them to learn more. Kwathu school pupils toured the Mukuni Big 5.
