Celebrate Hoover Day

Hoover DayOn April 30th, Grace Klein Community participated in Celebrate Hoover day at Veteran’s Park. An estimated 15,000 people were in attendance for this year’s event. As people stopped by the Grace Klein Community table, we were able to share what we do and how they can get involved in serving in the community. Thanks to our Trader Joe’s shares from the night before, we had over 100 flowers that we were able to give out as a way to show people love and brighten their day.

While at the event, a volunteer introduced DJ and I to Brenda Ladun of ABC 33/40. I am excited to share that she is going to interview us soon for a story of how the many volunteers of Grace Klein Community are making a difference in Birmingham by providing food to families in need. It is always amazing how God provides these opportunities for introduction and partnership when people find out about our little organization, who through our volunteer’s efforts, is making an impact on the world both locally and globally.
