Change is an essential part of growth, and for us at Grace Klein Community, growth led us to embark on a hopeful and thrilling new journey. With prayers, dedication, and the support of numerous individuals and organizations, we are moving into a new building, proving a significant milestone in our mission to serve and uplift the community.
Partnership and Prayer
The journey towards our new building began with the providence of God. Doesn’t everything? Both us and the parties involved were fervently praying about the same opportunity before our paths crossed. Miraculously, our collective answered prayers includes usage of two large spaces which provides the perfect foundation for our expansion plans.
Phased Approach to Transition
Recognizing the importance of a well-structured transition, we adopted a phased approach. Phase 1 involved relocating non-food programs during the first quarter, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing services. Careful planning allowed us to continue vital work seamlessly while preparing for the subsequent phases.
Phase 2 entails the relocation of the main office and the food hub. The move will centralize our operations, facilitating greater efficiency and effectiveness in serving the community. By strategically organizing the transition, we will ensure we continue to fulfill our mission without interruption.
Estimated Project Cost and Generous Donations
The move into the new building comes with an estimated project cost of $442,000. However, our God-given crazy faith and the support of our community will be instrumental in realizing the goal. Generous individuals and organizations have already contributed to the cause, and the total donations received to date amount to $116,989.80. The financial support demonstrates commitment and belief in the mission of Grace Klein Community. We believe in the favor of God to complete the project debt free.
Dedicated Volunteers and Collaborative Efforts
Grace Klein Community’s success is not solely dependent on financial contributions. The dedication of volunteers plays a crucial role in our outreach efforts. Over 2,754 hours have been volunteered through May 31, 2023, with 820 individuals generously giving their time and energy. These volunteers have collectively contributed the equivalent of $82,482.30 in saved wage dollars, highlighting the incredible impact of their service.
Additionally, Grace Klein Community has built strong partnerships with various organizations. A total of 33 serve teams have served, through May 31, 2023, including 11 churches representing six denominations, six school groups, seven businesses, and nine other groups. Furthermore, the community’s support extends beyond state borders, with five out-of-state groups joining the cause in the same time period. The continued collaborative effort demonstrates the widespread support of our mission and the power of unity.
Conclusion
Grace Klein Community’s move into a new building signifies an important achievement in our adventure to make a positive difference in the community. Through prayer, careful planning, and the support of numerous individuals and organizations, God has successfully paved the way for growth and expansion. The financial contributions, dedicated volunteers, and collaborative efforts have been the driving forces behind our accomplishments.
