BIRTHDAYS – In a heartwarming celebration, we commemorated Rozaria’s 19th birthday, which fell on the 1st of February, 2025. Rozaria is one of our beloved daughters who blossomed from Kwathu Children’s Home. She is pursuing a degree in Accounts and Finance at the National Institute of Public Administration.
KWATHU SCHOOL – In February, everything at the school went well. The pupils from Kwathu Children’s Home and the community attended classes without any problem. The month was full of activities, with learning taking place in the morning and afternoon.

NO BAGS DAY – No bags day is an exciting school fun activity aimed at rejuvenating students’ minds. It encourages learners to think creatively about carrying their school essentials without relying on their typical school bags. It’s a unique and innovative way for children to engage and have fun!

SPORTS DAY – In February at the school, another exciting activity that took place was Sports Day! This event sparked enthusiasm among the learners as they engaged in friendly competition to showcase their athletic skills and sportsmanship. Sports Day not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also provides a fun and engaging way for students to stay active and fit.

WOOD WORK PRACTICAL – The students took part in various practical activities, including woodworking. Engaging in this activity allows them to develop hands-on skills that are valuable for their future.
NEW SCHOOL BUS – We were incredibly grateful to receive a donation for the school bus! Thanks to the generosity of our partners and friends, the school now has its very own mini bus. This mini bus will be used to transport teachers and students for school activities and educational tours. The official handover of the mini bus to the school marks an exciting new chapter for us. Thank you once again to all who made this possible through your support and donations.
STAFFROOM: TABLE AND CHAIRS FOR TEACHERS – We are thrilled to announce that we have received a generous donation of a staff table and 11 chairs for our teachers to use while planning during their school time. Before this, our teachers had to make do with using desks in the staffroom for meetings and planning. This was uncomfortable for them and made it challenging to plan effectively for their lessons. Now, thanks to this donation, our teachers have a dedicated space to work collaboratively and comfortably!
ACTIVITIES PLANNER FOR 2025 – The admin took the time to plan for the year 2025, and the planning session was a success. At the beginning of each year, the admin sits down to carefully plan out all the activities and projects to be carried out throughout the calendar year.

This gathering provided an opportunity to look back at the previous year, celebrating the accomplishments and acknowledging the challenges faced. The AGM was a successful and productive event.
