Liberty Church is a wonderful partner and investor of Grace Klein Community. Being a few driveways down from our office, we always have an open door to many wonderful pastors and friends. If we have an overflow of perishable food, Liberty Church opens their fridges and freezers to help us preserve food. If we have a missions day and need use of their kitchen or extra space to keep fifty teenagers busy, they are always happy to share their facility. If we need prayer, we can run to their open doors. When GKC volunteers hosted a Parent’s Night Out, they opened their facility. When we need help, they are ready to care for us. They also share financially with us every month. What a blessing to have their spiritual, emotional, physical and financial support.
Grace Klein Community is part of the Liberty Church family and they always include us in church events. Many Grace Klein Community friends have enjoyed worship gatherings, a ladies conference, movie night, chili cook off and corn hole tournaments, Daniel Cason worship night, Sunday night revival services, kid’s lock-in and VBS.
For the last four years or so, Liberty Church has included us in their annual mission conference. What a treat to be able to share about what God is up to, in and through Grace Klein Community, and to invite the church body to become involved. And wow, have they become involved!!! Some come to our Monday night prayer, others serve in the donation room, a few serve on the Grace Klein Community board, some host community gatherings, many pray, and a bunch give time, money, and stuff. We are living life together and the community is growing because of church partnerships like Liberty Church.
On Sunday, August 23, 2015, Scott Elliott, of Grace Klein Community, shared at the Liberty Church Local Missions Conference. We worshiped together as the body of Christ and received an encouraging reminder that everyone that follows Jesus is on mission.
We are honored to be included in the Liberty Church Mission Conference and to partner with them in the spread of the Gospel, both here in Birmingham and around the world.
