Highlights: end of 2023 / Looking ahead in 2024 / Praise & Prayer Points
Highlights: Past 6 Months
In October we went to camp with our youth and were encouraged by the theme “God’s Story” and how we fit in the big picture now and for eternity!
Our youth leadership team was invited to help lead two additional camps in December hosted by our friends in the capital city Maseru and here in Butha-Buthe. We are very proud of our youth leaders who have grown in their unity as a team and maturity as individuals. A huge factor contributing to their growth is their commitment to prayer that we’ve been fostering at monthly all-night prayer meetings.
We celebrated the end of the year with our annual Christmas Party and enjoyed traditional Sotho attire, dance, and food. Our ministry programs were closed from Dec 21st – Jan 13th, but we still enjoyed the kids visiting us at the LXP Base as they were out of school for the summer.
Our family enjoyed all five of our birthdays and the start of a new school year between October 20th and February 5th, so now Sophie is 8 in 3rd grade, Liam is 6 in 1st grade, and Judah is 2. December was especially full of lovely visits with family and friends, some whom we met for the first time, like at a family reunion for Godfrey’s father’s side of the family, and some for the last time for a while, like dear
MAF missionary friends who are moving to Oregon after serving over 10 years in Lesotho. For NYE we spent time as a family by the Vaal River in South Africa and came home refreshed and filled.
Looking ahead in 2024
February 17-24 Elizabeth will visit Thailand for the first time to attend a women’s retreat for North American missionaries hosted by the Thrive Ministry organization. Please pray for her travels, the women’s time at the retreat, and Godfrey and the kids at home during the week she’ll be gone.
Godfrey continues to steward LXP Lesotho and Bokhabane Construction company. This year his focus is development and growth in the youth programs and Worship Team and continuing to gain experience and successfully complete the construction jobs he is granted
We continue to pray for the funds needed to repair water damage in our home (below photo) and build a drainage system to prevent further damage.

Generous gifts totalling $2,500 have been received and we only need $1,000 more to
begin the work. At the LXP ministry base our goal this year is to build a playground
structure. We’d like to supplement the hula-hoops and tires the younger children play with at our Saturday Program, as well as provide a play center for the village to enjoy. This need is $1,500.
