In the month of March, we commemorated the birthday of our daughter Unita, who reached the milestone of turning 13 years old. Unita joyously marked her inaugural birthday celebration with us, an experience that was truly remarkable for her, given that she had never before had the opportunity to celebrate this special occasion.

Parent Teacher Association Meeting

On March 21st, the Kwathu School organized a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting with the aim of strengthening the partnership between parents and educators. The meeting provided parents with detailed updates on school procedures, upcoming activities, and recent advancements pertaining to the revised curriculum. The main objective of this gathering was to cultivate improved communication and cooperation between parents and teachers for the betterment of the students. It sought to establish a conducive environment where key stakeholders could work together harmoniously towards the common goal of enhancing the educational experience for the learners.

On the 28th of March, Kwathu School organized an educational tour for all its pupils, integrating this outing as a valuable component of their learning experience. The students displayed enthusiasm in exploring beyond the traditional confines of the classroom, immersing themselves in various destinations. These included visits to the Bush trucks, museum, and National Park, enhancing their academic and cultural understanding through real-world experiences.

Community Outreach

On our typical Friday schedule, we engaged a communal meal where we gathered with members of our community. During these gatherings, we impart spiritual teachings by sharing selected scriptures with them. Additionally, we extend our generosity by bestowing bed sheets as a form of blessing upon them. Our acts of giving are done wholeheartedly and without any expectation of receiving in return, reinforcing our commitment to altruistically serve and support our community.

Visitations | Shoprite

We were recently visited by Shoprite, one of the largest supermarket chains in Africa and a valued partner of ours. They came to conduct a check-in on our organizational operations and generously donated a selection of food items to Kwathu Home.

The women of Kwathu wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of the occasion, uniting with women globally to partake in various activities. Among the notable events was a remarkable march, where the Kwathu women displayed solidarity alongside their global counterparts. Following the march, the women of Kwathu came together to revel in their achievements and commemorate the day in their unique and empowering manner.

Youth Day Celebration

On the 12th of March, 2025, the global community commemorated Youth Day, and it was a significant event for Kwathu as well. Kwathu took part in the celebrations by hosting a youth-centered activity. We extended an invitation to young members from the Apostolic Faith Mission church to participate in the event at Kwathu. The event was overseen by Mr. and Mrs. Lungu, who expertly guided the youths through various important subjects such as mental health, personal hygiene, spirituality, and faith. In addition to the educational sessions, the youths bonded over shared meals, engaged in a Bible quiz, and partook in various recreational activities. The day was filled with enjoyment and enriching experiences for all the young participants.
