SCHOOL REPORT
November was the final month for the 7th grade students who wrote their final examination from the 1st to 30th of November. The exams were conducted at Faith Christian Academy School, which is Kwathu’s partner in relation to examination programs. Fortunately, enough, all the fourteen students sat for exams without any challenges. The students were accompanied by teacher Banda.
KWATHU COMPUTER SKILLS TRAINING
The computer empowerment skills training went well. We started with five youths within our community. The training is aimed at empowering youths and elderly people with computer basic skills. Five of our students completed the course and they are waiting to be awarded certificates.

DENTAL HYGIENE CLASS
The month of November was a very exciting month for the kids. Our friends Kith and Fine taught the kindergarten class as well as the dental hygiene class. The kids were taught why we should take care of our teeth and how to do it. It was very well received from both the children and the teachers. All children got a toothbrush and toothpaste that the dentists at Torvet in Rudkøbing have been so nice to give us. We ended up with everyone brushing their teeth and chewing a tablet, which makes your teeth pink where you haven’t brushed enough.
FIRST AID TRAINING
Kith and Fine taught basic first aid to the staff at Kwathu: teachers, administration and house mamas who look after the children. They talked about burn sores, bleeding wounds, infection, through problems, and CPR.
We handed out two first aid bags with items donated by FAM in Odense.
CLINIC PROJECT
The memorandum of understanding between Kwathu and the District health office was agreed, signed, and approved by the District Health Director. This memorandum of understanding now gives us the green light to proceed with registration of our clinic with Health Professions Council of Zambia. We are so excited that this stage was successful.
