BIRTHDAYS – In November, we celebrated Chrispin’s 8th birthday with style. The gathering was filled with joy, a delectable cake, and unforgettable moments.

HOME UPDATE- In the home, there are currently 22 children – 12 girls and 10 boys. The youngest child is 8 years old and the oldest is 23 years old. 21 of the children are enrolled in school, while one is still waiting to be enrolled. In terms of health, all the children are physically well and healthy. So far, 20 children have celebrated their birthdays this year, with only one child still waiting for their special day to come.

LINTO COMPLETED HIS FINAL EXAM – Linto, a teenage boy under our care at Children’s Home, successfully completed his high school education during the period under review. We eagerly anticipate his future and look forward to the unveiling of his results next year.

FEEDING PROGRAM – In November, we conducted our final feeding program for the community. We express our gratitude to the divine for graciously providing the necessary resources for the successful execution of the feeding initiative.

KWATHU SCHOOL – The end-of-year examinations at Kwathu School commenced on November 25th and concluded on November 29th. Following the exams, the school will officially close on December 3rd. Subsequently, the results will be made available for collection on December 4th.

KWATHU SCHOOL GRADUATION – Kwathu School recently held its second graduation ceremony, honoring students from reception class and 7th grade who successfully completed this academic milestone. The event was a joyous celebration of their achievements and marked the end of this chapter in their educational journey.

KWATHU SCHOOL CHRISMAS CELEBRATION – In November, the administration team organized a fundraising event for the Kwathu School Christmas party scheduled for December 6th. The fundraiser achieved success, leading to the preparation of packages for the
upcoming event.

VISITATION – In the month under review, our establishment was graced with the presence of young individuals ranging from toddlers to teenagers representing the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) from the Livingstone district. The occasion included an abundance of jubilant activities including singing, prayers, recitations of poems, engaging in Bible studies, and participating in a Bible quiz. The day was enriched with a sense of communal joy as we bonded over matters of faith and camaraderie with our esteemed visitors. The
connections forged with the youthful attendees left a lasting impression, and we eagerly anticipate the prospect of fostering further profound experiences similar to this occasion in the times ahead.

PROJECTS:

KWATHU CLINIC – The clinic project, which was successfully completed in November, now requires the sourcing of clinic equipment before inviting inspectors for the final inspection. The approval for the application will be sought upon completion of the inspection.

SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT – The progress of the school building project has been significant, as we are now approaching the final stages of completion. Key milestones such as plastering, window installation, gutter apron installation, and painting both the interior and exterior of the building have been successfully accomplished.

PLAYPARK – In November, we engaged in the ongoing project of renovating the children’s play park. The park was temporarily closed for the installation of new swings and engaging games, aimed at enhancing the overall experience for the young visitors.
