Sometimes love comes in hugs, hundreds of them, jubilant worship singing, giggles and “amen, play ball.”
When you picture a person that exudes joy, we are guessing you see Sarah. She’s the one running around the room giving everyone a hug. She’s laughing and she’s more than delighted to see you as much as she was to see the person she hugged before you and that one she will catch after you. She’s the observant one.
Maybe you don’t even understand what she says, but she understands you. She’s reading your body language. She sees the hurt or the happy in your eyes. She feels your deep sorrow, fear and pain. She may pray for you when you never know it or grab your hand and lead you to someone safe when you look afraid. She may be the only one who tells you “I love you” today.
Love flows out of her. The more you get to know her, the more Jesus allows you to understand her. She likes when you sing, play the drum or strum the guitar. Sometimes God gives you a real treat and you hear her sing praises to God, watch her dance in worship to our King or listen to her lead the Lord’s Prayer.
Sarah may call to wish you a “Happy Hump Day” or may come running across a soccer field to say hello. She’s the one who loves when you come to a game night at her house. If you like basketball or a swing set, she is ready.

Sarah celebrated her 16th Birthday this week, and instead of gifts she asked her friends to bring canned foods in support of Grace Klein Community’s local food delivery ministry!
