#Pray4EmmaHope

This last month has been a very eventful and exciting time for our family especially for Emma Hope. It started off with a wedding; Emma Hope made a fantastic and beautiful flower girl. She had such a great time being a part of her cousins wedding day. Then on May 12th Emma Hope had her first scan since she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. We were anxious to see how her body was responding to her treatments and had called all our prayer warriors to action. We received the best news we could have asked for. The scan showed no more “spots” or infected lymph nodes. Praise be to our God, The Great Physician!

untitledEmma Hope will still continue the remainder of her treatments to make sure all the cancer is gone and to decrease the chances of it coming back. That great news was only followed up the following week with even more excitement. Emma Hope had a birthday and turned SIX years old. She got to celebrate by graduating from kindergarten on her birthday. We are so proud of our little princess; she has worked so hard to stay on top of her school work, and it paid off when she was able to graduate with her class. We have enjoyed having family and friends in to visit with us as we celebrate these very momentous occasions.

Unfortunately, we did have a minor setback this past week; Emma Hope was running a high fever and had to be admitted to the hospital for a few days. She is feeling much better and is enjoying her last few days at home before we go back into the hospital next week for another round of chemo.

We are so blessed and have much to be thankful for! Thank you for your prayers and continued support as our family walks this uncertain road knowing that our God is faithful! Love, The Shaws
